At our staff retreat, prior to the beginning of school, the goal of serving the greater community became our focus. Staff looked at how parents, students, and faculty could get involved in promoting volunteerism. To help faculty understand and teach volunteerism we brought in Sue Carter, executive director of Volunteer San Diego. Sue was able to help foster an understanding of the need for service and what projects were suitable in the San Diego area for students, parents, and faculty to work on individually and as a group. Our commitment to the community has always been great but this year we're looking to go the extra mile.
Speaking of the extra mile Blessed Sacrament Parish School was the title sponsor of the Boo Parade, held October 25th at 11:00AM on El Cajon Blvd at College Ave.
