Gage Elementary School

The first graders at Gage Elementary have been studying about air and weather. On Wednesday, October 8, rooms B-1 and B-4 were visited by Mr. Matt Baylow, the meteorologist at KFMB News. Mr. Baylow talked to the students about the weather and his job as a television weatherman.

The students had many questions, especially about rain, hurricanes and tornadoes. Mr. Baylow also showed the students his "Microclimate Van." The van is equipped with weather tools that measure wind speed and humidity. Each child received a weather magnet. The students enjoyed his visit and look forward to watching Mr. Baylow and the weather report on the evening news.

Gage students are eagerly anticipating our annual Family Math Night, Wednesday, December 10th from 6:00 - 7:30pm. Please mark your calendars for a night of "families meeting families" along with food, fun, prizes, and of course learning! Materials will be provided for attendees to enrich and deepen the understanding of mathematics at school and at home.
